Colorado Life Zones

Grasslands are the home to many herbivores, such as bison, pronghorns, and deer. Semi-deserts grasslands may have a very diverse and rich plant life. Many small mammals and reptiles live in Colorado's grasslands. The lack of water makes this a harsh environment, and life there adapts with clever ways to avoid the hot sun and store the little moisture that exists (Wikipedia).
